Overview
This article explains what business connections are, why they are important, and how to view and manage their status across the REG Network.
You’ll learn how to:
- Understand what a business connection is
- Check the status of your connections in different areas
- Send, accept, reject, or retract business connection requests
- Use menus and notifications to manage connections
What Are Business Connections?
A business connection is a two-way relationship that allows you to:
- Send and receive secure document exchanges over the REG Network
- View each other’s published statements
Once a business connection is established, you can manage requests and monitor statuses across the platform.
Checking Business Connection Status
1. Active Connections Page
Navigate to the main menu, select My Network, then Active connections.
On each connection card, the top right corner shows a business connection status icon:
No business connection request made – click to send a request
Is a business connection
Business connection terminated
Outgoing request sent, awaiting response
Outgoing request rejected
Incoming request received, awaiting response
Incoming request rejected
2. Connection Details Page
Click a connection’s name to open their Connection details page.
The business connection icon next to the name shows the current status:
Is a business connection
Not a business connection – click to request
Business connection requested
Hover over the icons to see additional information. You can also send, accept, reject, or retract requests depending on the status.
3. Connection Details Summary Page
Select Summary in the connection details menu.
The Network status tile displays the business connection status and available actions:
4. Navigating from Menus
From the main menu, select Business Connections and choose New Request, Incoming, or Outgoing.
- New Request: View your connections and their request status. Multiple requests can be sent at once.
- Incoming: View all incoming requests. Use the drop-down to filter by status.
- Outgoing: View all outgoing requests. Use the drop-down to filter by status.
Note: Connections without contacts or manual connections are highlighted in yellow and cannot be selected. Failed requests appear in red.
5. Notifications
You will receive notifications for incoming or outgoing business connection requests via email or in-app notifications.
Click the notification icon and the message to view details. From here, you can retract, accept, or reject requests.
Note: Business connection notifications can be turned on or off in your Settings under the drop-down next to your username.
