Overview
Business Profiles allow companies on the Network to share additional information about their organisation with other members.
While the Network already provides verified data, Business Profiles allow companies to add their own business information to give other members greater insight into who they are and what they do. This helps businesses promote themselves within the Network and allows potential partners to better understand a company before establishing a formal connection.
This guide explains what Business Profiles are, how they help customers, and how to create or update your company profile within the REG Network.
What Information Can Be Added
Business Profiles allow companies to provide key information about their organisation, including:
- About your company (About Us).
Company information (for example Broker, MGA, Insurer, or Supplier).
Products or lines of business.
Company logo and banner.
Number of employees.
Key individuals (contacts).
Public contact information.
Office locations (Your company's offices, branches, or operational sites).
This information helps other members of the Network understand your organisation and identify whether there may be potential opportunities to work together.
Creating or Updating Your Business Profile
Completing a Business Profile only takes a few minutes and can help improve your visibility within the REG Network.
To create or update your Business Profile:
Log in to the REG Portal.
Members (select required member)
Select Complete/Update Business Profile.
Enter the relevant company information.
Save and publish your profile.
The only required field to publish a profile is the About Us section. However, completing additional fields will help improve how your company appears in search results.
Key Sections of the Business Profile
This section provides a short description of your company. It should summarise:
What your company does.
The type of services you provide.
Your expertise within the insurance market.
This information helps other businesses quickly understand your organisation.
Company Information
Companies can select one or more company types that describe their role in the insurance market.
Examples include:
Broker
Managing General Agent (MGA)
Insurer
Wholesale Broker
Supplier
Selecting the correct company type helps ensure your company appears in relevant searches.
This section allows companies to list the products or insurance classes they specialise in.
Examples may include:
Motor Insurance
Property Insurance
Professional Indemnity
Liability
Providing this information helps other members find companies that match their business needs.
The People section allows you to list key individuals within your organisation.
You can include:
Name
Role
Contact details
Adding contacts can help other businesses identify the appropriate person to speak to when exploring potential partnerships.
Companies can also include public contact details such as:
Email address
Phone number
Website
LinkedIn profile
This allows other members to easily reach out if they are interested in working with your business.
Locations
Office locations can also be added to your Business Profile.
These locations will be displayed alongside a map, helping other members understand where your business operates.
Viewing Business Profiles
Once published, a Business Profile becomes visible to other members of the REG Network.
Importantly, you do not need to add a company as a connection to view their Business Profile. This allows businesses to review company information before deciding whether to establish a relationship.
